Our maiden Pinot was launched in August 2010 as LA VIERGE NOIR Pinot Noir 2010.
The unspoilt beauty and provenance of our virgin terroir are reflected in the Garden of Eden theme of our branding, suggesting a lush verdant paradise with all the purity, simplicity, innocence and temptation of life's beginnings.
Our crest represents Adam and Eve pondering the Serpent and Apple.

Our lovingly tended vineyards, situated in Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, are characterized by long cool summers influenced by the close proximity of the Atlantic Ocean. Using sketches and drawings by renowned British artist, Sir Michael Adams who works and lives in the Seychelles, a design language was created that reflects the rich symbolism associated with the Hemel-en-Aarde area. Want to order a few bottles of each of our award winning wines? Wine is often perceived as a fussy thing, but it doesn't have to be. Winter is right around our corner so when you feeling the chill in your bones, reach for the right wine to warm you up! Such a creative environment with wonderful wines and beautiful views. One enters the cellar on an elevated walkway that takes you through the cellar and into the tasting room and restaurant. From the winemaking point of view, the winery is well designed and compact. We have carefully planned the layout of the stainless steel tanks in order to move quickly and easily whilst the harvest is in full swing. Of great importance is the variation in tank sizes which has given us great flexibility when handling the varied batches from our three vineyard sites. Here we are able to monitor the identities and characteristics of the wines through their receival, fermentation and maturation process. Below the winery is the cool, dark barrel cellar where wines are aged and matured in French oak barriques. In the winery there are already plans afoot to alter the grape receival set-up. With a view to improving quality; we’ve ordered a sorting table to allow us greater selectivity of fruit as well as the installation of a grape pre-cooler room to allow the delivery and processing of much cooler fruit into the winery.
