If you enjoy sculptures, then we recommend that you visit the Sculptures on the Cliffs exhibition, which is open for visitors throughout the entire festival and is located at Gearing’s Point on Marine Drive in Hermanus. With lunchtime and evening performances, there is a wide range of music to enjoy, the festival will be showcasing some brilliant local talent, and a few from further afield. From Italian Opera and Classic Cello, there will be something to suit everyone. In our picturesque corner of the Western Cape, we are blessed with the beauty and majesty of the Mountains, the Valleys and a number of stunning local beaches. We cannot recommend this beach enough to our customers, the beach is over 18 kilometres long and is the perfect location to enjoy beach games, swimming, bodyboarding, surfing and long leisurely walks with unending scenery. There is plenty of room to park next to the beach, you will be able to enjoy the views quite a way away from the beach. Even when overcast, Grotto Beach offers simply stunning and awesome views from multiple view points. When staying at the Robin’s Nest, you are less than 8km from Grotto Beach Grotto Beach is ideal for a leisurely walk, or a game of beach-ball. You can also go swimming in mild and temperate waters. The Robin’s Nest Self Catering Guest House is a fantastic place to do a spot of Bird Watching. With hundreds of local species flying around the premises, you will be able to see everything from the chirpy Cape Robin, the namesake of the Robin’s Nest, to Guinea Fowl, Kingfishers and Herons.
